About me

Growing up on a farm in northern Norway didn’t just feel like the end of a one-way street—it also allowed me to embrace boredom and fill it with creativity. If it weren’t for my childhood, I might never have discovered the beauty of sitting, sometimes for hours, drawing, painting, reading, and dreaming, much to my brother's frustration. I guess I was a bit boring.

I wasn’t only inspired by the idyllic atmosphere of a northern Norwegian farm—the scent of sheep shit and dust in the air—but also by the dream of the big world beyond. Believe it or not, I miss it!

In recent years, I have learned more than ever before. Thanks to my biggest supporter and cheerleader, who also happens to be my husband, I have unlocked a new world within myself, experimenting with styles and materials. I’ve dared to take the step from “I wish I were an artist” to “I’m going to create this homepage and take responsibility for pursuing this dream.” Sometimes, you just need to give yourself a kick in the pâté.

There have been periods with more art and others with less. It can be frustrating to even start something you know will be difficult to complete, coupled with the feeling that time is slipping away. In the end, I choose to look at it this way:

With age and more experience, I am better equipped and more open than ever to take on the challenge. The journey I’ve walked was the one I was meant to take.
